Brian founded BBS in 1992 and has since served as a mentor of our team, shaping the firm’s philosophy and approach to specification writing. With over 40 years of experience, he always strives to improve the interface with our clients and their projects, focusing on the quality of our master specifications and client relationships.

 

After graduating from Fanshawe College, he got his start as a specification writer in Calgary and Edmonton before moving to the Toronto area. Under Brian's leadership, BBS has evolved from a one-man practice to a growing team of specialists, preparing specifications for a variety of award-winning projects with some of the leading architectural firms in North America.

 

As of 2026, Brian transitioned to BBS’s Founder and Principal, where he continues to provide the vision, mentorship, and guidance to the team.
